Magnesium sulfate USP 100%, labeled as a saline laxative.

• Label use: relieves occasional constipation. Generally produces a bowel movement in 1/2 to 6 hours.
• Adults and children 12 years and older: dissolve 2 to 4 level teaspoons in a full 8 oz glass of water.
• Children 6 to 11 years: dissolve 1 to 2 level teaspoons in a full 8 oz glass of water. Not recommended for children under 6.
• Use limit: do not exceed 2 doses per day; if necessary, repeat dosage after 4 hours.
• Size: 2.82 oz (80 g). Each teaspoon contains 495 mg of magnesium.
