Before using MALTAGLOBIN B12, read the directions together with the warnings. This guide follows the label information for the 8 fl oz (240 mL) format.
Labeled amount and frequency
Adults and children 4 years and over: one teaspoonful (5 mL) once a day, according to the label. Read the complete package label before use.
Warnings that accompany use
Do not use if pregnant or nursing. If you are under a physician’s care or taking medication, consult a health professional before use. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance.
Keep out of reach of children. The label warns that accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
Keep tightly closed and store at controlled room temperature, 15–30 °C (59–86 °F). Do not use if the safety seal over the jar is torn, broken or missing.
Serving size, age and safety
The 5 mL amount is both the serving used in Supplement Facts and the amount per use in these directions. Do not infer a dose for children under 4 from that information. The iron-poisoning warning for children under 6 is not a dosing instruction.
