Reading a lice-treatment label starts with identifying the exact product. For LIENDREX, the shampoo name, net contents and NDC help distinguish it from other products in the brand.
Formula and format
LIENDREX is a topical shampoo for treating head, body and pubic (crab) lice. Its label lists pyrethrins 0.30% and piperonyl butoxide 4%. The 4 fl oz (120 mL) bottle includes a fine-tooth comb. Menper Distributors, Inc. is listed as distributor. NDC 53145-308-04.
Active and inactive ingredients have different roles
The percentages in Drug Facts identify the active ingredients. Other ingredients are listed separately; they should not be interpreted as a dose or as additional benefits.
Listed inactive ingredients: Water, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA.
Read the label as a whole
Check the uses, directions and warnings before opening the bottle. LIENDREX II conditioner directions do not replace the shampoo's directions. Keep the carton for the complete information. Ask a healthcare professional about age, allergies or use if you have questions.
