Listed sodium
Each 15 mL contains 144 mg of sodium. The label advises consultation before use if you follow a sodium-restricted diet. Do not read the bicarbonate amount as the sodium amount.
Medicines and situations requiring advice
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you take prescription medicines, have abdominal pain, nausea or other symptoms of appendicitis, or follow a sodium-restricted diet. Antacids may interact with certain prescription medicines. If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.
Bring the label and your medication list to the consultation. Do not choose a medication interval on your own: the label does not specify a universal separation time.
Alcohol and other ingredients
Alcohol, glycerin, methylparaben, peppermint extract natural flavor, propylene glycol, propylparaben, rhubarb root extract and water.
Because alcohol is present, this formula should not be described as alcohol-free. Check the complete package if you need to avoid an ingredient.
Usage limits
Adults and children 12 years and older: 1 tablespoonful (15 mL), 2 or 3 times a day. Do not use in children under 12. Follow the label on the package you receive and do not exceed the maximum recommended dose in 24 hours. Do not use the maximum dose for more than 2 weeks except under a physician’s advice and supervision.
Keep out of reach of children. For accidental overdose, seek professional help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
