LA FLECHA JAPONESA is a topical analgesic oil for external use. This pack contains 2 bottles of 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) each.

The gallery Drug Facts panel lists menthol 10% and methyl salicylate 10.5% as active ingredients. Menper's DailyMed record lists methyl salicylate 10.5% and classifies menthol as inactive. The current label formula is awaiting manufacturer confirmation; check the package you receive and ask a health professional if it differs.

Labeled uses

Temporary relief of minor muscle and joint aches associated with simple backache, arthritis, strains and sprains. Do not swallow.

Use and precautions

For adults and people 12 years and older, the panel says to apply to the affected area no more than 3 to 4 times daily. Do not use on children under 12, following the warning section's restriction. The panel contains conflicting pediatric directions awaiting manufacturer clarification.

• Do not use with bandages or heating pads, on wounds or damaged or irritated skin, or over extensive body areas.
• Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Ask a doctor before use if the affected area is red.
• Stop use and ask a doctor if the condition worsens, lasts over 7 days, returns within a few days or excessive irritation occurs.
• Ask a health professional before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of children's reach. Store at 15–25 °C (59–77 °F).
