A guide from Mi Botiquín Latino
Rábano Yodado’s Supplement Facts panel provides a common reference for comparing nutrients and sugars: a labeled 15 mL serving.
Read amounts and units together
Per 15 mL, the image lists 130.8 mcg iodine, 1.5 mg thiamin, 2 mg vitamin B6 and 4 mcg vitamin B12. Keep units beside each amount when comparing products: mcg and mg represent different scales.
Sugar is part of the comparison too
The panel lists 8 g total sugars and identifies all 8 g as added sugars. Both lines refer to the same serving; they are not added together as 16 g. When comparing another presentation, first check that serving volumes match.
Serving size does not mean frequency
Serving size helps you interpret the nutrition table. Usage directions are read separately on the package. Do not infer how often to take it from the panel or from an image of another product.
