Gather the packages
Include pain relievers, cold-symptom products and prescription medicines. Do not compare only brand names or symptoms printed on the front: read each product’s active ingredients.
Find the ingredient
DURALGINA lists acetaminophen 500 mg per tablet. The FDA warns against using more than one acetaminophen-containing product at a time. If another package lists it, a different brand name does not prevent duplication.
Ask with specific information
Show the pharmacist the complete labels and explain what you took and when. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own to add another. If the amount taken is unknown or you suspect an overdose, seek medical help immediately; do not wait for symptoms.
